Here is a bit about MandaLyn Suchara
- Received private piano instruction from the
St. Louis Symphony Community School of Music.
- Graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor's degree in Music,
emphasis in Music Theory/Composition in 2001.
- Has more than 30 years of experience leading musical ensembles
and instructing students of all ages in Piano Studies,
- Has formal classroom music education experience,
focused on students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Serves as choral accompanist for large and small community choirs,
debuted 11 original choral works since 1996.
- Was a guest breakout facilitator for the 2010 Catholic Educator's Institute,
presenting the topic: Walkingfires-Creating a Culture of Peace in the Classroom
As singer/songwriter, she has performed at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St.Louis
as well as a wide variety of sacred and secular venues throughout the St. Louis Metro area,
producing original works in a variety of musical styles.
In 2002, She was invited by the Instead of War Coalition to perform at a rally and march in St. Louis, MO.
Daughter of St. Louis jazz clarinet legend, Ron Suchara,
she has performed breathtaking duets with the phenomenal vocalist, Amy James, of the band Trigger 5,
and has been a guest artist with numerous local bands and ensembles.
In addition to her spiritual compositions and folk-feelgood songwriting,
she creates innovative, diverse scores for digital/commercial projects.
Specializing in slideshow and video montage digital scoring, she collaborates with area artists
to produce promotional advertisements and press release materials.
Manda holds a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Aquinas Institute.
As writer and public speaker, she is regularly invited to facilitate small group/round table discussions
on faith and social justice topics, to direct retreats, to compose printed and instrumental
spiritual reflection material, and to design and lead prayer services.
